THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN FINE LINES AND WRINKLES
Many people often talk about wrinkles and fine lines interchangeably, but here are some key differences. Fine lines are small, shallow and may be hard to see at first.
Fine lines are usually associated with repetitive movements like squinting, smiling, laughing or frowning, which is why they are also called expression lines. Wrinkles form when fine lines aren’t treated quickly and start to deepen. They form in different areas of the face and turn into facial folds.
BEST WRINKLE TREATMENT OPTIONS
There are several non-invasive wrinkle treatment solutions our clients can do including Dysport, Botox, Juvederm and Restylane. Cosmetic injections like Botox and Dysport go directly into the muscle to reduce wrinkles. This wrinkle treatment can take years off your appearance.
Restylane and Juvederm are both dermal fillers that are used to plump up the skin and reduce the appearance of wrinkles. They both contain hyaluronic acid, which is a substance that our body naturally produces and keeps our skin hydrated and soft.

Dermal Fillers for Wrinkle Treatment
Dermal fillers are injected under the skin’s surface to add volume and fullness. Some of the key substances in the fillers include hyaluronic acid and polylactic acid which stimulates the skin to make more collagen. This wrinkle treatment can help give a revitalized and younger appearance.
What Causes Fine Lines and Wrinkle Lines?
Fine lines and wrinkles are caused by factors that you can and can’t control. Fine lines can be caused by smoking, sun exposure, genetics and having fair skin. Wrinkles are caused as less collagen is produced, a poor skin care regimen, constant sun damage and dehydrated skin.
How Do You Get Rid of Fine Lines?
There are a few options to treat fine lines and some of them use the same products as wrinkle treatment. Depending on ones skin, we will use chemical peels, Botox and microneedling. Botox is injected into the muscle and causes it to be temporarily paralyzed so it can’t contract to cause fine lines.
With chemical peels, a solution is applied to exfoliate the skin and eventually peels off to reveal the smoother skin underneath. Microneedling uses tiny needles to puncture the skin to stimulate collagen production.
How Do Botox and Dysport Work?
Dysport and Botox are both types of botulinum toxin injections that treat and prevent wrinkles by relaxing the muscles beneath the skin. When the muscles are relaxed and stilled, the skin above turns smoother.
The main difference between Botox and Dysport wrinkle treatment is that Dysport mainly targets glabella lines, which are also called frown lines. Botox wrinkle treatment can be applied to more areas of the face including forehead lines and laugh lines around the eyes.

Under Eye Wrinkle Treatment
As we age, the decline of collagen and elastin proteins, facial movements, and hereditary factors can cause puffy eyes, age spots, dark circles and wrinkles around the eyes. Our under eye wrinkle treatment strengthens the skin foundation, relaxes the muscles and fill volume loss.
Laser, Botox injections, chemical peels and microdermabrasion are effective options for wrinkle treatment under the eyes. Depending on your skin, our aesthetician may recommend a combination of these solutions to get the best wrinkle treatment results.
FOREHEAD WRINKLES TREATMENT
When the forehead’s muscles repeatedly contract, it causes the skin to wrinkle. Forehead wrinkle treatments provided for our clients include Botox, Dysport and laser. The injections replace volume in the forehead to help balance the face and smooth the skin.
Laser wrinkle treatment helps the forehead become tighter and toned. The laser is pierced into the collagen layer of skin to restore both elastin and collagen production. The results of this wrinkle treatment will last for months.
