Skin Rejuvenation In Brooklyn

The Importance Of Skin Rejuvenation

Skin irregularities and disorders can happen because of reasons that are beyond our control such as aging and our genes. Too much sun exposure can make problems worse. Many people experience skin problems including wrinkles, acne scars, freckles, sun spots, and visible blood vessels. Our skin rejuvenation center offers various treatments that can help people maintain their youthful and radiant look. Skin rejuvenation solutions include intense pulsed light, laser, microneedling, radio frequency, microdermabrasion, dermabrasion and chemical peels

Skin Rejuvenation With Intense Pulsed Light (Ipl)

Intense pulsed light (IPL) is a skin rejuvenation treatment that uses light to treat skin problems and rejuvenate the complexion. IPL uses a broad spectrum of light wavelengths that absorb the excessive pigment (coloring) in the skin to restore a more even complexion. IPL can help stimulate the production of collagen, an important protein that makes the skin glow and provide elasticity. This approach to skin rejuvenation is non-ablative which means no skin is removed during the treatment.

Laser Skin Rejuvenation

Laser skin rejuvenation uses highly concentrated beams of light energy to improve the skin’s tone, texture and appearance. When our laser targets pigmented areas, the skin absorbs the light and heats up without damaging the surrounding skin. There are two types of lasers, ablative lasers and non-ablative lasers. Ablative lasers remove outer layers of skin and encourage new skin to heal in its place. Non-ablative lasers don’t break the skin’s surface. Instead, they heat up the skin below the surface to encourage new collagen growth and restore the skin’s natural firmness and tone.

Skin Rejuvenation With Microneedling

Microneedling is used to treat various skin conditions using tiny needles to puncture the skin. This skin rejuvenation treatment increases the production of collagen and other healing factors while minimizing cellular damage. Microneedling improves scars, increases smoothness and allows for deeper filtration of topical skin products.

Skin Rejuvenation With Radio Frequency

Radio frequency tightens the skin. The first step in this skin rejuvenation approach is to heat the skin to stimulate collagen and elastin production to reduce the appearance of fine lines as well as loose skin. Radio frequency also reduces fat in the layers of the treated areas.

Radio frequency not only helps facial contouring, but also helps shape the body and eliminate cellulite too. This skin rejuvenation treatment requires little downtime and people can continue their normal activities right after receiving treatment.

Skin Rejuvenation With Microdermabrasion And Dermabrasion

Microdermabrasion and dermabrasion treatments remove outer layers of the skin so the smoother, healthier and younger looking skin underneath is revealed. With microdermabrasion, the area is exfoliated by using a very fine tipped instrument and immediately vacuumed away. It is safe for all skin types, carries very little risk for side effects and has no downtime.

Dermabrasion uses a rapidly rotating instrument to precisely remove visible skin problems from the treated area layer by layer to encourage new cell growth. It is important to keep the area well protected from the sun and follow post skin rejuvenation treatment instructions.

Skin Rejuvenation With Chemical Peels

With this solution, the chemical solution that is applied causes the outer layers to peel away. Then, smoother and younger-looking complexion will be revealed. This skin rejuvenation treatment will reduce age spots, smooth wrinkles, minimize acne scars and tighten the skin.

The three types of chemical peels are light, medium and deep. Our aesthetician will recommend the appropriate chemical peel depending on how many layers of the skin need to be removed. A light chemical peel will usually reach the outermost skin layers and use a mild solution like glycolic acid. Deeper peels will go further into the skin to address more advanced signs of aging like severe acne scars or deep wrinkles.
