Fine Lines and Wrinkles

Fine lines and wrinkles come naturally with age– but they don’t have to stay!

Best Wrinkle Treatment Options

There are several non-invasive wrinkle treatment options at BYou, including cosmetic injections, microneedling, Venus Viva MD, and the PRP facial.   Cosmetic injections like Botox and Dysport go directly into the muscle to reduce wrinkles. This wrinkle treatment can take years off your appearance. Restylane and Juvederm are both dermal fillers that are used to plump up the skin and reduce the appearance of wrinkles.   Microneedling stimulates collagen production and replenishes the skin, reducing fine lines and wrinkles. Another option is Venus Viva MD– a brand new, cutting edge treatment for skin resurfacing. Finally, the PRP facial (known as the vampire facelift) concentrates compounds from blood cells to naturally rejuvenate the face, reducing wrinkles and fine lines

How Do You Get Rid Of Fine Lines?

There are a few options to treat fine lines and some of them use the same products as wrinkle treatment. Depending on ones skin, we will use chemical peels, Botox and microneedling. Botox is injected into the muscle and causes it to be temporarily paralyzed so it can’t contract to cause fine lines. With chemical peels, a solution is applied to exfoliate the skin and eventually peels off to reveal the smoother skin underneath. Microneedling uses tiny needles to puncture the skin to stimulate collagen production.

The Difference Between Fine Lines and Wrinkles

Many people often talk about wrinkles and fine lines interchangeably, but here are some key differences. Fine lines are small, shallow, and may be hard to see at first. Fine lines are usually associated with repetitive movements like squinting, smiling, laughing, or frowning, which is why they are also called expression lines.    Wrinkles form when fine lines aren’t treated quickly and start to deepen. They form in different areas of the face and turn into facial folds.

How Do Botox And Dysport Work?

Dysport and Botox are both types of botulinum toxin injections that treat and prevent wrinkles by relaxing the muscles beneath the skin. When the muscles are relaxed and stilled, the skin above turns smoother. The main difference between Botox and Dysport wrinkle treatment is that Dysport mainly targets glabella lines, which are also called frown lines. Botox wrinkle treatment can be applied to more areas of the face including forehead lines and laugh lines around the eyes.
